BALI BIRD PARK

Find yourself at the Bali Bird Park to witness the largest and finest collection of Indonesian birds in the world plus fantastic birds from Africa & South America. Encompassing two hectares of botanical landscape, the park provides sanctuary to almost 1000 birds of 250 different species.
Bali Bird Parks innovative approach towards the display of rare and tropical birds has progressed from traditional exhibits to that of showcasing mixed species in their natural habitats & in large walk in Aviaries and free range throughout the park.
The park accommodates an amazing display of flora with more then 2000 tropical plants including 50 varieties of palms alone and attracting numerous butterflies.
Incorporating a breeding, research and veterinary facility within the complex, the park has a high success rate in the captive reproduction of exotic birds such as the Bird of Paradise and Hornbill.

Stroll within the boundaries of the giant walk-through aviaries that replicate the natural eco-systems of the Bali Jungle and Papuan Rainforest. Pathways and bridges are carved through the dense foliage where only filtered sunlight manages to penetrate the canopy of greenery overhead.

Several vantage points have been strategically positioned to catch glimpses of free flying birds as they follow their survival instincts of foraging for food, nesting and mating. These protected enclosures safeguard rare species from outside predators, whilst still exposing them to the various aspects of living in the wild.

Actively participate in the feeding times that are scheduled throughout the duration of the day. Join the Bird Keepers as they recreate the bird’s natural feeding environment – Greater Birds of Paradise feed around you & amazing flycatchers perform Ariel acrobatics whilst you feed them.

Marvel at our free flight show featuring majestic Eagles, Owls, Macaws and other birds as they soar through the sky. This is an amazing opportunity to see the flying capabilities of so many different birds in one environment.

Wander at leisure through Guyu-Guyu Corner for a fun hands-on experience of communing with our collection of exotic birds at close range.

Fantastic Parrots & Cockatoos - Hornbills and songbirds will perch comfortably on your shoulders and outstretched arms for unique experience and great photo opportunities.

The bird nursery and observation station is designed for visitor to view the growth progress of newly hatched birds. Observe Bali Bird Park's intensive capture breading program that is dedicated to the conservation of late and endangered species

Bali Bird Park is located in Gianyar and open daily from 9 - 5.30.

*Optional return hotel transfers are available for Bali Bird Park at a flat rate of Au$45 per van (maximum 6 people per van). A driver will pick you up from your hotel in the morning, take you to Bali Bird Park, and wait for the day to return you to your hotel.*
